Host David Koch has clashed with Sunrise host Pauline Hanson in a flaming dispute on One Nation’s “anti-Muslim bombast” following Friday’s terrorist outbreak in Christchurch.
The One Nation spearhead was being cross-examined in her regular fragment with fellow crossbencher Derryn Hinch when Koch questioned if she felt her party was feeling complicit in the bloodbath that killed 50 people at two Christchurch mosques.
“This (indicted Christchurch shooter Brenton Tarrant) terrorism manifesto more or less reads like One Nation’s immigration and Muslim policy,” he said. Kochie later admitted that he got a bit too passionate about the discussion and may have turned out to be quite rude.
He also feels that last week he reacted badly to Senator Hanson’s suggestion as he didn’t truly know what was happening and on Tuesday confessed to Smith that he wasn’t on the One Nation leader’s Christmas card list as well.
